This is Zach and I. I met this boy in 7th grade. We’re both now in 10th grade. I had broken my leg and he wanted to get to know me somehow so when this happened he got that opportunity. He was in all my classes and had never spoken to me. But when I broke my leg he asked me if he could walk me to my classes and carry my books. So I said yes. Right off the bat we clicked and became super good friends. He asked for my number and we constantly were talking on the phone, texting, talking between and during classes. Then we started falling for each other. He told me he was in love with me. I told him I loved him. But then he asked me to be his girlfriend… And I got cold feet. I said no. I was so scared of losing the most wonderful person I had ever met. He had become my best friend and I couldn’t risk losing this perfect boy. So I friend zoned him and broke his heart. He was persistent though and kept holding on. He watched me through middle school go through so many pointless asshole “boyfriends”. He stood by me through all those breakups and told me I deserved better then them. He told me everyday I was beautiful and he loved me. And that scared me because I hated hurting him. I never imagined I’d actually go out with him. But that all changed in 9th grade.

I was dating another you guessed it, scum bag. And Zach and I had not been talking because he was so hurt from these past few years and everything I had put him through. He was tired of fighting. And I was lonely. I was falling into a relapse of depression. I was so sad because my best friend was fading. So I apologized and so did he. Even though he had no reason to, it was my fault. Not his. So we made up and started talking again. More and more every single day and late into the night. I was talking to Zach 500000 times more than the ass I was actually dating. We had a 7 hour skype call that changed it all. I realized I had fallen. Hard. I actually realized he was the one I was in love with all those years. I realized my prince charming was in front of me all this time and he was just what I needed. So the guy I was dating and I split up and 6 days later Zach asked me out. February 14th 2012. And I said yes.
